Automobile catalysts use many materials, but the materials used to reduce the activation energy of the reaction and accelerate the reaction rate are mainly three noble metals, namely platinum, palladium and rhodium. Other substances are mainly used to help precious metals perform better. So far, the three precious metals platinum, palladium and rhodium are the most effective active materials for automobile exhaust reactions.
The Pt Pd Rh catalyst takes ceramic or metal honeycomb substrates as carriers, and uses unique coating materials and precious metal Pt Pd Rh as active components. It has high catalytic activity, good thermal stability and service life. The catalyst can simultaneously convert harmful gases such as HC/CO/NOX into H2O/CO2/N2. It is currently the most effective way to purify automobile exhaust, and it has a relatively high technical content.
